Solarban® 90 glass by Vitro Architectural Glass (formerly PPG Glass) is the latest evolution in solar control low-e glass, combining revolutionary quad-silver low-e coating technology with the aesthetic appeal of clear glass.
Choose Solarban® 90 glass to:
- Convey a true neutral appearance in color and reflectance
- Balance visible light transmittance (VLT) while providing exceptional solar control
- Facilitate the use of smaller HVAC systems while minimizing artificial lighting requirements
In a standard 1-inch insulating glass unit (IGU) with clear glass, Solarban® 90 glass has a winter Argon U-Value of 0.24 and a solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) of 0.23.
It also combines with a full spectrum of performance-tinted glasses by Vitro—from rich-blue Pacifica® glass to crisp, light-gray Optigray® glass—to achieve SHGCs as low as 0.17, as well as Starphire Ultra-Clear™ glass for an improved VLT of 54 percent while maintaining the same SHGC as Solarban® 90 with clear glass.
